Formed at the mouth of hot springs, travertine has been used for millennia as a building material and decorative stone. This red variety has all the characteristic patterns and shapes of standard travertine, but with a pink to light red hue. The pits and crevices – for which travertine is known – are filled with a clear resin, keeping the visual interest while also allowing a smooth and cleanable surface.
